The Black Creek Trail Bridge project involved the design of a 120-foot cable-suspension foot bridge across the Black Creek at Scenic Hudson’s Black Creek Preserve on Route 9W in Esopus, NY. Design considerations were to construct the foot bridge across a deep stream ravine in a heavily wooded area with minimal disturbance. Medenbach and Eggers also provided the construction supervision so that the project was completed without any tree removal and minimal land disturbance.
